Joe Biden is Now Officially the Worst President of the United States
Months Ago I Hesitated on that Moniker
Months ago I created an article in which I pointed out that 2021 was arguably- but not objectively- the worst year in US history. The economic situation was poor, but it was not at the same level as the Great Depression. The president was out to lunch, but we have had several other intellectually disabled presidents- notably Wilson and Bush. Diplomacy began to falter as the peaceful Trump era ended, but we were not in any new wars.
That has now changed.
I hesitated to apply the moniker "worst president ever" to Joe Biden just as I hesitated to declare 2021 the "worst" year in US history- indeed, executive policy is intertwined with "goodness" and "badness" in the sense that it can substantially increase or decrease the misery of the public.
I am sad to say that Joe Biden is, indeed, the worst president the United States has suffered under. I do not expect that political scientists and upper middle class wonks will admit to this, but a casual look at the current world situation will show this to be true. We now suffer from a new war in Ukraine which the United States has been partly dragged into- a partly self-inflicted situation due in large part to US policy built when Biden was the vice president after Crimea was invaded while Obama held reign. This, along with stagflation, low labor force participation, a bedraggled and impotent border defense system, numerous examples of social alienation, and a resurgence of pro-censorship authoritarian drivel from the usual gang of idiots in the legacy media and infotainment industry, labeling anyone who criticizes the Biden steward regime as a "Russian asset." I call this “point and grunt propaganda” because it is so stupid only a caveman would believe it.
The entrance of a new war-time era involving Western nations is the icing on the poisonous cake for what had already been a disastrous first year for the steward, Joe Biden. There is no longer any argument- in my mind- to be made, exonerating him from being labeled more incapacitated than Woodrow Wilson, more economically illiterate than Jimmy Carter, more out of touch than Buchanan, or more optically poor than George W Bush. We have seen some failed presidencies in our long history, but none have achieved just so many failures in so little time- barely more than a single year.
The Republic will endure, but with a rising China- rising because Joe Biden refuses to implicate them in their backing of Russia, let alone their creation of a pandemic- and with the possibility of a third World War being actively considered even by lamestream pundits, there is no longer any defense to be made for the current administration. Under normal circumstances Joe Biden would already be under pressure to resign, but the establishment powers that be are using him like a sock puppet and are not about to give up their toy.
I thought I was the only one who thought these things. Well written article Tarl.
Just a little nitpick: Crimea was not "invaded". Russian soldiers have been there since 1783. Crimea was annexed after the Crimean people voted in a referendum overwhelmingly in favor of reuniting with Russia.
The Ukraine crisis began in earnest in 2014 and it is 100% a consequence of Western - primarily American - foreign policy.
