Donald Trumps Free Speech Campaign Platform is Nearly Perfect

The Rollout... Not so Much

The other day, Donald Trump teased a "major announcement" out to the public via Truth Social- speculation was rampant thereafter- had he chosen a running mate? Was he going to launch an election fraud lawsuit? Was he going to toss the GOP under the bus and switch to an independent candidacy?

In the end, there were not one but two major announcements; the first, that he was launching an NFT trading card line as part of a fundraising sweepstakes, the second, a campaign video, in which he laid out his ideas for reforming the constant censorship cabal of the internet world.

The common sense proposals he has outlined for defending free expression are important; indeed, as I pointed out on one of my daily videos his proposals are basically identical to what I have promoted for years now- a digital bill of rights, a reform of Section 230 deviating publisher and platform behavior, and investigations into the coercion of supposedly private public-square platforms by tax-funded members of the bureaucracy.

The obvious usefulness of the NFT sweepstakes in generating buzz before dropping a campaign video that would otherwise be brick-walled by the legacy media (which has been obviously commanded by the DNC and RNC alike to try and ignore Trump into irrelevance) was unfortunately counterbalanced by its usefulness as a propaganda tool by a coalition of never-Trumpers and craptivist shills proclaiming that Trump had "lost his mind" or was out of touch with the will of his constituents- for him to address issues such as inflation, the border, censorship, war, and more.

So while I am extremely pleased at Trumps actual major announcement, I beg him to find a better way to get around the legacy media embargo of everything he says that they aren't able to be spin as "extreme" or "insane"- start by building a coalition of content creators with decent reach and high engagement and giving them the boon of breaking news for you, Donald- plenty of us would jump at the chance.

As some consolation, the NFTs sold out within hours, netting Trump an enormous fundraising haul.
