Ranking Joe Bidens Top Ten Failures (So Far)
And This is Just Year One of the Asterisk Administration
It is difficult to quantify just how many failures the asterisk administration of Joe Biden has been involved with. This list is just one of many which could be compiled- I realize there are more than ten major failings so far which I could include in this list. I decided to cut it down and keep it simple, which is no small task when your nation is suffering so many abuses from its own inept chief executive. Here are my top ten Biden failures thus far.
10. Everything Involving China
The Biden administration could be criticizing China for its creation of a biological weapon which has killed millions of people. Instead, it is half-assing an Olympic boycott and fails to say anything about Chinas' culpability regarding COVID19. The reason is fairly obvious: Joe Biden was the vice president when Obama and Fauci were visiting the Wuhan lab, and probably knew about the research going on there.
9. An Utter Failure on COVID
Speaking of COVID we have Biden wasting time also batting zero on vaccine mandates. As an opponent of medical tyranny, this isn't bad news per se, but it does show a callous disregard by Biden for measures which would actually work... like telling people to wash their hands, stay home when sick, and otherwise go back to normal.
8. Kamala Harris the Absentee VP
Kamala Harris is a virtual non-entity in the Biden administration. I can understand why she would not want to appear too often since she messes up every time she takes questions, but as border czar, she has still, to this day, not even been within shouting distance of the US border.
7. Gas Prices
Bidens' people have dreamed up the insane mythology that his policies are working based on a likely short term and very limited reduction in gas prices. But gas prices have risen dramatically under his absence of economic leadership- eliminating the Keystone pipeline project has not won him many favors.
6. Proposing Tax Cuts for the Super-Rich Via SALT Deduction
I have seen a surge of pro-Biden propaganda insisting that his idea to restore the limitless SALT writeoff would be good mainly for small businesses. While it might help a few in high tax states, it is mainly a windfall for his wealthy donor buddies, as it doesn't even kick in until people are at the decent six figure salary level.
5. The Afghanistan Withdrawal
A lot of people probably think this is higher on the list, but Bidens' badly fumbled withdrawal here- leaving billions in US military goods behind for the Taliban- has all but disappeared from public consciousness except among people who hated Joe to begin with.
4. Goods Shortages
Shortages continue. Despite assurances that they are improving, this reminds me a lot of initial claims long ago that inflation would be transitory, or that the border crisis was improving.
3. #BidenBoom; the Rise of State Media
CNN's Oliver Darcy has openly bragged that Joe Biden is attempting to conference with legacy media leaders to spin economic news and make it more positive which seems a stunning self-rebuke of actual economic news. Every attempt to astroturf the issue has backfired badly.
2. The Still-Porous Border
The US border is still hazarded, and literally no progress has been made at solving the problem. Biden even restored the "Remain in Mexico" policy (after a court forced him to) getting flak from the left flank of his own party in so doing.
1. Carter-Level Inflation
Inflation has now hit 6.8% and is trending far ahead of wage growth. Biden is now reigning over a prolonged period of massive price hikes. The response by his propaganda bot army ranges from denying that price hikes are outpacing wages (which is a mathematical absurdity based partly on record income growth among corporate billionaires) to claiming that it is solely the result of shortages... which Bidens' allies created through lockdownerism.
All in all it is fair to grade the first year of the asterisk administration with an "F" and that would be almost generous. It's no surprise that two of the top ten largest single month drops in presidential approval have happened in 2021.
And this is just the first year.
