The Liberals Have Lost the War on Guns
Liberals Predictably Outraged by Texas Getting Permitless Carry
The senate of Texas has now affirmed the right of citizens in Texas to carry firearms without a permit. This is a fairly no-brainer move, considering the obvious intent of the second amendment does not bar people from defending themselves outside of their property, but liberals are understandably upset that it will now be harder to abuse Texans when they engage in fiery but mostly peaceful protests and attack the property of their fellow citizens.
I figured it was a good time to remind terrified liberals that Vermont has had constitutional carry since it existed as a state, and that Vermont has exceptionally low gun violence rates despite reasonably high ownership rates.
Indeed, liberals are seemingly fighting a losing battle on the issue of firearm ownership. They have steadily lost ground for decades with Mcdonald vs Chicago, DC vs Heller, and the massive upswing in permitless carry since the 1980s.
Down below are a couple of examples of derangement and paranoia from an NPR post about Texas’ pro-constitution move:
The constitution, Maria!
Nobody tell Nathaniel that Florida has had permitless carry for several decades.
This poor individual thinks that Democrats can unilaterally void the constitution; but that is nonsensical, since about half the blue states also have permitless carry.
For people who want to defund the police, they sure do place a lot of importance on making things illegal.
Yes, as a Vermontoid meself, the right to constitutional carry is very much appreciated, celebrated, and practiced. Funny how most folks never refer to VT's crime stats during all the baseless anti-gun arguments. Thus, we also resent some of the state's Bloomberg-stoked newcomer anti-gun retards who think they can impose their lame woke sensibilities on us. What part of "when in Rome" don't they get? Vermonters have a long history of helping out in the community when it's needed; other than that, we don't like to be told how to live and what to do. It's the "leave us the fuck alone" philosophy. ;-)
